This Jalview feature uses 3D Beacons at EMBL-EBI @emblebi to access structural data. Core development is in the Barton Group @bartongrp headed by Professor Geoff Barton @gjbarton in @UoDLifeSciences with funding from Wellcome Trust @wellcometrust and BBSRC @BBSRC.

It also shows how predicted structures may be picked, viewed and aligned in Jalview. More training videos are coming soon!
A new Jalview training video has landed – the first from the newest member of Jalview's core team: Khadija. This video covers working in Jalview with 3D structures from PDB/AlphaFold/SwissModel and more in their evolutionary context through alignment. youtube.com/watch?v=ZBDZde

Our friends at @PDBeurope noticed an issue that prevents Jalview automatically discovering 3D structures for a sequence using its name. This will be fixed in the next data release: eta 27th Nov 2024. Until then you can still use the 3D beacons search button to discover structures
